Have you ever been the recipient of an empty “I love you?” I’m sure we all have at some point in life. We hope the words are true, but all the actions prove otherwise and leave us feeling cheated. And that's because Love is a verb; without action it is only a word. Oh, how true that is! And, while we can’t control how others view love, we can begin to understand and then live out the truth that love is indeed a verb.
Remember what the second greatest commandment was? Jesus tells us in both Matthew 22:39 and Mark 12:31: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ (The greatest commandment, of course, is to love Jehovah with all your heart and soul.) In this post, we will briefly discuss various ways you can fulfill the second most important commandment that we as Christians are to follow, showing to others the same love that Jehovah God has shown us – and we will talk about why this is so important.
