Top 5 places to Eat Near Wallkill Bethel

With so many of the friends coming for the dedication of the new World Headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses, we get this question all the time: “Where is there a good place to eat?”

Well, check out this week’s blog with our TOP FIVE PLACES TO EAT NEAR WALLKILL BETHEL. All of the places below are just minutes from the Wallkill Printery and just a few blocks from the Ministry Ideaz retail store:

1. Paraíso Latino Mexican Restaurant

This place is owned and operated by a Witness couple in the Pine Bush congregation. Their names are Fred and Brenda. Brenda says: “I love having the brothers and sisters come to the restaurant and having the opportunity to meet them and learn where they are from and some of their wonderful experiences. We have had quite a few buses from across the US and have had them in from literally around the world and welcome more to come!”

A personal favorite is their Blanco Queso Dip. It’s white cheese with hamburger in it, for dipping their home-style tortilla chips which are made right at the restaurant. The Guava Fruit Chimichanga is excellent for dessert. They serve them warm. The Friday buffet is fantastic. For one price you can get all your favorite stuff.

Address: 72 Main St, Pine Bush, New York, NY 12566

2. Cup and Saucer

This is a charming diner, where they have delicious breakfasts which they serve all day. They can serve large groups of 50, very quickly, without losing quality in the kitchen. The breakfast food tastes like home cooking. The lunch tastes great as well.

3. Siena’s Pizzeria and Restaurant

They have a shrimp scampi angel hair pasta that is to die for. Or, try their eggplant lasagna with pink sauce. You won't regret it. Tell them you're a witness and they'll give you a 5% discount.

Address: 2412 NY-52, Pine Bush, NY 12566 (right next door to Ministry Ideaz)

4. Town Hall Eatery

This quaint little restaurant is in a historic building that was an old bank years ago. It looks just like an old town hall. The atmosphere is great! The prices are fantastic considering the portion and quality of the food. It’s in a comfortable setting and atmosphere with the excellent food of a hometown community. Make sure to try the quarter chicken with rice and beans.

5. Mountain Brauhaus

This one is a little further away from the branch (about 25 minutes away), but if you want scenery and culture, this is a MUST-GO!

The waiters here are all dressed in traditional Bavarian style. They’ve got down-home German cooking. It is awesome. Their pot roast has real mashed potatoes and carrots. It’s very scenic where it is. It overlooks the mountains all around you. Very beautiful.

For dessert: Wagner’s Ice Cream & Snack Shack

For homemade hard ice cream and soft serve cones, you can’t get much better than Wagner.  The soft serve ice cream has to be the best I’ve ever tasted. You’ll have to try the vanilla. The value is excellent. Order a small, and they give you two scoops! Don’t be fooled by the very “plain and simple” look to the place. I guarantee you’ll love it!
