Build Your Encouragement Recipient List

As loyal publishers, we understand that the preaching work still needs to be accomplished in these troubled last days, as we strive to display love of neighbor. We adapted sending Bible-based letters to our co-workers and neighbors, who may be troubled, coping with depression or some other illness. On the other hand, we understand that our priority is our spiritual family (Gal. 6:10). And thanks to our bi-weekly meetings on zoom and service opportunities, we now know them better than ever. What else can we do for them?

Prepare your “Encouragement Mailing List”

In our “Expressing Love in a Handwritten Letter” blog, we recommended making a list of recipients. Here are some examples of people you might agree should be included:

  • Our dear elders and other publishers who willingly offer to serve in a Disaster Relief Committee. They may still be on the front line in many countries where new spikes of Covid-19 have been registered. We understand the sacrifices they’ve made, and they need encouragement for that.
  • Pioneers who have been creative all this time to fully accomplish their work - setting a fine example of adapting to new circumstances. Help them combat “zoom fatigue” by expressing your support for their diligent efforts.
  • Those who suffer a chronic illness. This winter is cold not only because of the weather but because of physical distancing. Although we may not be able to visit these dear friends in person, we can confirm we love them with a little note to warm their hearts.
  • Single parents, someone who has recently divorced, someone who remains loyal after a relative left the truth…. the list may grow longer as you try to recall. Various circumstances can make the friends feel blue.
But you can help! By dedicating just a couple hours a week to our “internal ministry” you can accomplish a lot of good.

In our previous post “How do you express appreciation?”, we shared some ideas of what you can include in such packages. However, if you need ideas for what to write, here are some expressions you can include:

  • We admire your faithful service under difficult circumstances, and your example encourages us (1 Thessalonians 3:7, 8).
  • Seeing your peaceful countenance reminds us that only Jehovah’s people can reflect that beautiful quality under any trial. Thank you for that reminder! (Isaiah 26:3).
  • We understand it’s been harder to keep the pace in the ministry. But we’re glad to be with you on the same team! (Ephesians 1:15, 16)
  • We know this world makes us feel tired and desperate. But remember Jehovah is by your side. You’re precious to him and every one of us as well. Please, don’t forget that. (Philippians 2:13)

    Get the whole family involved!

Are you looking for more practical ideas? No worries. We hear you! For that reason, we launched two GIFT ENCOURAGEMENT BUNDLES. These special packages include small and meaningful mementos. See the descriptions at these links, and let us know what product you want to be included in our next bundle in the comments below.

Bundles of Encouragement

Just open each gift bag, add a mixture of the included gifts and a card, add something personal you prepared, and finally, plan your route to deliver them to the friends. You could even make arrangements with others to do a cavalcade of encouragement - each dropping off your packages one after another. Just be sure to follow physical/social distancing along with other healthcare recommendations while you enjoy your gifting. This could take a few hours of your time. However, their smiling faces are well worth the effort.

Showing love these days has become a challenge and has forced us to adapt. Here at Ministry Ideaz, we have valuable items to help you safely share your love and appreciation. Send us a picture on our social media of the happy results of this encouraging labor.

I have to respond to these loving suggestions from you, dear brothers and sisters! How wonderful it is that you are reminding us to think outside ourselves, (in harmony with Jehovah's organization); and you've given suggestions on HOW to do it. Your "Encouragement Mailing List" will help us to include more people who might otherwise be overlooked! My efforts have been 'hit or miss',
but I look forward to implementing your suggestions so I can be consistent in reaching everyone. I look forward to perusing your bundles, too. Thank you for your decades of supplying us with excellent theocratic materials to build us up AND help us in our vital preaching work!!
